Malaysia's MADANI Government has launched six new MITRA initiatives worth RM65.5 million to strengthen grassroots development of the Indian community across 80 parliamentary constituencies, with annual funding increased to RM150 million.
The Malaysian Indian Congress has been allocated four seats for the Johor state election, according to party vice-president Datuk T. Murugiah. Polling is scheduled for July 11, with candidate nominations on June 27.
