Laos charges distillery owner and hostel staff over Vangvieng tourist deaths as autopsy gaps hamper investigation
Laotian police have indicted the owner of Tiger Vodka distillery and staff at Nana Backpackers Hostel over the deaths of six foreign tourists in Vangvieng. Methanol contamination was found in vodka samples and two victims' blood, but the absence of autopsies has prevented authorities from establishing legal causation in five cases.
