Among the 56 names unveiled by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim for Pakatan Harapan's Johor campaign is Ng Yak Howe, the coalition's candidate for the Bentayan seat.

Ng Yak Howe stands as the the Democratic Action Party (DAP) candidate within the Pakatan Harapan coalition, which is chaired by Prime Minister Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim. The coalition brings together PKR, DAP and Amanah in a unified slate fielded across all 56 Johor state constituencies.

As one of 56 seats up for grabs, Bentayan represents another front in Pakatan Harapan's effort to win a governing majority in Johor under the leadership of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

Representing the Democratic Action Party, Ng Yak Howe carries DAP's message of multiracial, transparent and development-focused governance into the Bentayan contest. DAP is fielding candidates in 17 of Pakatan Harapan's 56 Johor seats.

Pakatan Harapan's selection process for the Johor election was rigorous, with the coalition evaluating more than 1,000 potential candidates before finalising its 56 names. The slate blends established leaders, professionals and fresh faces, reflecting the coalition's bid to present a credible, governing-ready team to Johor voters.

As the July 11 polling day approaches, Ng Yak Howe joins Pakatan Harapan's statewide push to win Johor. Early voting takes place on July 7, with nominations confirmed on June 27.
